MTTC Political Science Test Study Guide
MTTC Political Science Test is administered by Michigan Department of Education to grant certification to aspiring educators. After getting this certification, candidate gets the permission to teach in Michigan State as a Political Science Teacher. To get this certification, candidate needs to prove his proficiency in core subjects as well as in general subjects. Michigan Tests for Teachers Certification is available in two modes online and offline. Candidate can choose any of the modes according to the schedule available.
Eligibility for MTTC Political Science Test
To get eligible for appearing in MTTC Political Science Test, candidate should meet following conditions of the certification board:-
- Applicant should be a baccalaureate from state/national university.
- Applicant should have mastery in Political Science or in any other related subject from state approved college.
- Out of state applicant should have three years of teaching experience in the field.
- Applicant should be atleast 21 years of age at the time of filing the registration form
Candidate should score passing marks in the exam to get liable for the certification from the Michigan Education Board. In case the candidate falls short of the marks, then candidate is liable to reappear in the exam in the next schedule itself.
Format of MTTC Political Science Test
MTTC Political Science Test includes multiple choice questions. Scoring of MTTC Political Science Test is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. Apart from MTTC Political Science Test, candidate also needs to appear for MTTC Basic Skills Exam to get the certification from the board. This exam includes three sections reading, writing and mathematics. There are 85 multiple choice questions and one subjective question in the exam. Total duration for completing the exam is 270 minutes.
