MTTC Music Test Study Guide
MTTC Music Test is administered by Michigan Department of Education to grant certification to eligible candidates. After getting this certification candidate gains the permission to teach in Michigan State as an educator. Score of Michigan Tests for Teachers Certification is valid for the period of five years hence candidate should study well for this exam to get good marks in the first attempt itself.
Eligibility for MTTC Music Test
To appear for MTTC Music Test, candidate should comply with following conditions of the education board:-
- Applicant should have bachelor degree from state/national university
- Applicant should have specialization in the subject from state approved college.
For candidates applying out of state, it is important to have three years of teaching experience in the other state. If the applicant lacks the experience then he is liable to have non renewable certification from the Michigan Board. Applicant should be at least 21 years of age when applying for the certification. Candidate should score passing marks in this exam to receive the certification.
Format of MTTC Music Test
MTTC Music Test includes multiple choice questions. Scoring of MTTC Music Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. The total time given to students for attempting the exam is 270 minutes. Candidate needs to appear for MTTC Basic Skills Exam other than MTTC Music Test to get the certification. This exam includes three section- reading, writing and mathematics. Candidate should clear all the three sections to get the credentials from the board.
