Eligibility for MTTC English as a Second Language Test


To appear for MTTC English as a Second Language Test, applicant should have bachelor degree from state/national university. Applicant should have specialization in the field from state approved college/university. Applicants age should be atleast 21 years of age while applying for the certification. Candidate should get passing marks in MTTC English as a Second Language Test to get liable for achieving the certification.

Format of MTTC English as a Second Language Test


MTTC English as a Second Language Test includes multiple choice questions. Scoring of MTTC English as a Second Language Test is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. If the candidate falls short of marks in the exam then candidate is liable to appear again in the exam in the next schedule. Total Duration for completing the exam is 270 minutes.

MTTC Basic Skills Exam is another test which candidate needs to appear for while applying for MTTC English as a Second Language Test. MTTC Basic Skills Exam includes three sections:-

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Mathematics

There are 85 multiple choice questions and one subjective question in MTTC Basic Skills Test.
