MTTC English Test assesses the candidates educators level knowledge in the English Language Subject. This test is administered by Michigan Department of Education to give certification to eligible candidates. Eligibility for MTTC English Test
To appear for MTTC English Test, applicant should meet all the eligibility conditions of the Michigan Department of Education:-
- Applicant should have bachelor degree from state/national university.
- Applicant should have specialization from state approved university.
- Applicants minimum age should be 21.
Out of state candidates should have three years of teaching experience to get credentials from Michigan Department of Education. Candidate who lacks experience is liable to get one year non renewable certification.
Format of MTTC English Test
MTTC English Exam involves multiple choice questions. MTTC English Exam is scored on the scale of 100- 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required for getting this certification. If the applicant falls short of the marks in the exam, then he can appear again in the exam in the next schedule. The total time for completing the exam is four and a half hour.
MTTC Basic Skills Exam is the complementary exam that a candidate needs to give along with MTTC English Exam. The exam includes the following fields:-
- Reading
- Writing
- Mathematics
There are 85 multiple choice questions and one constructive response query in MTTC Basic Skills Exam.
