TExES Physical Science Exam


TExES Physical Science Exam is designed to assess whether the educator has the requisite skills that an entry-level educator must possess for teaching in Texas public schools. The test evaluates the ability of the candidate to perform in the Physical science subject for Grade 6 through Grade 12.

Eligibility for TExES Physical Science 6-12 (237) Exam


To be eligible to appear for the exam, a candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Physical science from a recognized college/university.

    The format for TExES Physical Science 6-12 (237) Exam majorly covers-

    • MCQ Based exam with 100 questions.
    • The allotted time is 5 hours to complete the exam.
    • It includes 4 hours 45 minutes as testing time and 15 minutes for compliance agreement & tutorials.
    • Computer administered test

    Questions range from grades 6-12 and include certain questions that do not count toward the score. Reference material provided at the test site includes the definition and physical constants, on-screen scientific calculator, periodic table.

    Candidates can apply for the exam all year round through an appointment at various test locations in Texas and nationwide. The applicable fee is $116 (additional charges may apply).

    Candidates need to score a minimum of 240 marks to qualify for the exam and are available at 10 pm Central time on certain dates.
