TExES Early Childhood: PK-3 Exam
The exam is designed to assess the candidate's ability whether he/she possesses the knowledge to teach in Texas Public Schools. It is based on the Early Childhood: PK-3 exam framework and it ranges from grade PK-3.
Eligibility for TExES Early Childhood: PK-3 Exam (292)
Candidates appearing for the exam must have undertaken a bachelor’s degree in the program for early childhood from a recognized institution.

Early childhood: PK-3 exam is formed by the following set of standards-

Format for TExES Early Childhood: PK-3 Exam (292)
- The computer-based examination covers 90 selected-response questions and 1 constructed-response question.
- The allotted time for the candidates to complete the exam is 5 hours.
- 4 hours 45 minutes testing time and 15 minutes compliance agreement tutorial.
How to Apply for TExES Early Childhood: PK-3 (292)?
Candidates can apply online through the website and can register themselves after creating the account. The exam involves a limited 2 week testing period. And appointments are allotted on a first come first serve basis. The examination fee is USD 136 (additional fees may apply).
Important Information-
- Upon the completion of the exam, candidates are provided with an option of either reporting or canceling scores for that specific exam session.
- If the candidates choose to have the score canceled then those scores are not reported. In such cases, candidates are not eligible for refunds as well.
- The exam session won't be counted as an attempt and candidates are required to wait for another 30 days to take another exam.
- Scores that have been canceled cannot be reinstated.
- A score of over 240 points and above is considered a passing score since all TExES exams have a score range of 100 - 300.
Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling the appointment
- Candidates can schedule an appointment through their account by following the provided instructions.
- Candidates can reschedule the exam appointment 48 hours before the scheduled date of the exam. There is no fee for rescheduling the exam.
- Candidates can cancel the exam through their account 48 hours before the exam.
