GACE Special Education Academic Content Concentrations Exam Study Guide
Special education is required to those students who are differently able and requires special care from the educator. Educator teaching students with different needs should be extremely polite and competent to teach their students with care. To check this competencies and capabilities of the educator, Georgia Professional Standards Commission conducts GACE Special Education Exam. Candidate who clears Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators gets the certification to teach in Georgia State.
Eligibility for GACE Special Education Academic Content Concentrations Exam
To appear for this exam, candidate should meet all the conditions issued by the board. For getting renewable certificate, candidate should have bachelor degree and certification from the state approved college. If the candidate has not completed his certification program then also candidate can apply however he can apply for the non renewable certification. Candidate can apply for the certification through any medium that is internet, by mail or through telephone. Candidate can even chose the medium of the test according to his will.
Format of GACE Special Education Academic Content Concentrations Exam
This exam involves two distinct sub tests. Sub test I includes social science and reading and sub test II includes mathematics and science. Each sub test includes objective and subjective questions.
Sub test I
- Reading art 38 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Social science - 22 objective questions and 1 subjective question
Sub test II
- Mathematics 33 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Science 27 objective questions and 1 subjective question
Scoring of GACE Special Education Academic Content Concentrations Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks required to get the certification. Candidate should study and practice well the prescribed syllabus.

These are the topics that candidate needs to practice for getting good marks in the exam and get the certification. If the candidate falls short of the marks in the exam then he is liable to appear again for the exam after the period of 30 days.
