Candidate clearing GACE Educational Leadership Exam gets the certification to become the educator in Georgia State. Candidate should be competent and keen enough to meet the standards of GPSC.
GACE Educational Leadership Exam is composed of two sub tests which include objective and subjective queries. Candidate needs to pass each of the sub tests individually to get the certification from the board.
Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators is a test which is based on the guidelines issued by the GPSC. Hence candidate should duly sign the registration and the answer document to abide by the rules of GPSC. The scores will be declared as null and void if the candidates forgets to sign on the answer sheet of GACE Educational Leadership Exam.
Eligibility for GACE Educational Leadership Exam
To appear for GACE Educational Leadership Exam, candidate should meet all eligibility requirements issued by the board.
For renewable certification: - Candidate should hold bachelor degree and certification from state approved college.
For non renewable certification: - Candidate should possess bachelor degree and should be enrolled in the certification program run by the state approved college.
Syllabus of GACE Educational Leadership Exam
GACE Educational Leadership Exam includes following topics which should be thoroughly studied by the candidate to achieve good marks in the exam:-

- Developing and implementing a plan for making an education based society
- Identifying stakeholders and sharing the vision with them
- Instruction based program
- Maintaining organizational effectiveness
Format of GACE Educational Leadership Exam
GACE Educational Leadership Exam is composed of two sub tests.
Sub test1
- Making and sharing vision- 20 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Instructional programming- 40 objective questions and 1 subjective question
Sub test 2
- Maintaining the organizational behavior- 43 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Ethical and legal leadership- 17 objective questions and 1 subjective question
While scoring, 80% weightage is given to objective questions and 20% weightage is given to subjective responses. GACE Educational Leadership Exam is marked on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks that is required to get the certification. If the candidate falls short of the marks in the exam then he is liable to appear again in the exam after the period of 30 days.
