GACE Media Specialist Exam Study Guide
Georgia Professional Standard Commission conducts examination to give certification to the eligible candidates. Candidates having GACE certification gets the permission to teach in Georgia State. Candidate needs to pass GACE Media Specialist exam to get this certification.
GPSC is a premium board which provides various facilities to the candidates. Candidate has the facility to choose his medium of examination- pen pencil or computed basis. Moreover candidate can file his application in the following ways:- Internet, mail or telephone. However the candidate should not forget to sign the application and answer sheet as without the candidates signature the application will not be processed. Even the answer sheet will be declared as null and void.
Eligibility of GACE Media Specialist Exam
To appear for GACE Media Specialist Exam candidate should meet all the eligibility criteria listed by the board.
For renewable certification- candidate should have bachelor degree and certification from the state approved college.
For non renewable certification- candidate should have bachelor degree and should be enrolled in any certification program run by state approved college.
Format of GACE Media Specialist Exam
GACE Media Specialist Exam involves two sub tests. Each sub test includes objective and subjective questions.
Sub test I
- Delivering information 30 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Literacy skills 30 objective questions and 1 subjective question
Sub test II
- Administration of library program 30 objective questions and 1 subjective question
- Collaborating and leading library program 30 objective questions and 1 subjective question
Scoring of GACE Media Specialist Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 220 are the minimum marks. Candidate should keep in mind that 80% weightage is given to objective questions and 20% to subjective questions.
