Indiana Core Exam Study Guide
Teaching in Indiana requires certification or licensing after completing specific exam tests. Exams administered by the Indiana CORE Assessments for Educator Licensure assess candidate’s skills and capability to teach learners in several academic fields such as reading, mathematics, science, writing and social studies.
How are certifications listed in Indiana Teacher certification test
Each certification is listed by the Assignment Code/ This is a document used by educators to determine the appropriate license for a teaching, administrative or school services assignment in an Indiana accredited school. The Assignment Code can be read by finding the course title (on the left side of the table) and then following it across to the license type held (in the vertical column to the right of the table). If the license area in that corresponding box matches the type of license held by the educator, then that educator is able to teach that subject/course.Certifications required for initial teaching License
