Alabama AECAP Teacher Certification
Teaching in Alabama K-12 schoolsrequires active Alabama educator certification. To earn certification through the traditional route, prospective teachers must earn a bachelor’s degree that includes a state-approved educator preparation program and pass the state’s exams for prospective educators. Alabama does not offer a certification approach which allows an individual to only take a test to obtain certification. ETS discontinued paper-delivered testing, however, Praxis tests will continue to be available in a paper-delivered format as required for ADA accommodations.
