FTCE Health K-12 Exam Study Guide

Florida Department of Education conducts Florida Teacher Certification Exam. Educators teaching health as a subject should be able to make students understand the importance of hygiene and health at every stage. Candidates scoring fairly well in FTCE Health Exam gets the certification from the education board to practice in the Florida State as a health educator. Florida education Department offers choices for the candidates to either apply for the professional or temporary certification. Professional certification is renewable after the period of five years whereas temporary certification is non renewable. Candidate needs to match his eligibility to apply for any of the certification.

Eligibility for FTCE Health Exam

To appear for FTCE Health Exam, candidates need to be a bachelor degree holder. For professional certification candidate needs to have master degree in the health subject. For temporary certification candidate needs to have 2.5 GPA in health subject. Candidate needs to submit the detailed finger print reports to the board. After the verification of finger prints report only, candidate is liable to get the certification.

Format of FTCE Health Exam

FTCE Health Exam includes topics from the health science and personal hygiene. Candidate should study these topics well to score well and get the certification in the first attempt. Syllabus of FTCE Health Exam is:-

FTCE Health Exam includes 120 multiple choice questions. Candidate gets two and a half hour to complete the exam. Different formats of questions included in FTCE Health Exam are:-

• Completing the sentence
• Commanding query
• Situation analysis

Once the candidate gets the certification, he gains the permission to practice as a health educator in the Florida State.
