After passing this exam, candidate gets the certification to teach as an audiology educator in any state. Candidate can appear for Praxis II assessment in either of the mode online or offline. Online exam is conducted over computer and offline in pen paper mode. Candidate can choose any of the modes according to the schedule available.

Format of Praxis II Audiology Exam
Praxis II Audiology Exam includes 120 multiple choice questions. Total time given to complete the exam is two hours. Candidate should manage time nicely so as to attempt maximum questions in the exam as there is no negative marking for incorrect answer. However Candidate should keep in mind that some questions are not scored and hence will not contribute towards his/her final score. If the candidate falls short of the marks in the exam then he is liable to take the assessment again after the period of 30 days from the date of examination.

- Fundamentals of Audiology (10%) 12 questions - Acoustics, psychoacoustics, anatomy, physiology, etiology, ototoxicity, vestibulotoxicity, counseling, deaf culture.
- Preventing and identifying problem (10%) 12 questions - educating, pre venting, screening, preventing risk.
- Assessment (40%) 48 questions - planning assessment, audiological evaluation , behavioral, physiologic, other types of assessments and evaluation, integrating assessment evaluations, documentation and communication.
- Intervention (30%) 36 questions - treatment planning, device selection, hearing aids, cochlear implants, device validation and verification, audiological intervention, tinnitus management, documentation and communication.
- Issues of professional mainstream (10%) 12 questions - professional practice, legal and ethical practice, evidence based practice.
