Postal Exam Test Preparation Study Guide
The Postal Exam is conducted by the United States Postal service (USPS). It mandatory for all candidates applying for the entry-level or part time positions in the US Postal Service.
Format Of The Postal Exam:
The Postal exam is divided in the following 4 sections:
Address Checking:
In this section the candidate is asked to identify the difference between two similar looking postal addresses. It consists of 60 questions which the candidate needs to complete in 11 minutes.
Forms Completion:
In this section the candidate is given postal forms which he/she needs to fill by correctly identifying every piece of information. The candidate is allotted 7 minutes to complete 15 questions.
Coding and Memory:
In this section the candidate will be given a chart of address ranges and corresponding route identifiers. In the first part (Coding) the candidate is given one address for which he/she needs to write the corresponding route. In the second part (Memory) the candidate has to identify the correct route to which the address belongs to but without seeking the help of Route identifier chart. In both the parts there are 36 questions each.
Personal Characteristics:
This category tests how a candidate will perform in a certain job position. The candidates are suggested to answer honestly. It consists 236 questions that are to be completed in 90 minutes.
