Therapist - NCMHCE - National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination Study Guide
National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) is administered by the National Board for Certified Counselors. This exam is designed for individuals in order to be certified as mental health analyst. The test measures the capabilities or skill power of the candidates.
Format for NCMHCE - National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination
The NCMHCE consists of ten clinical models. Each of the models is broken down into five to eight sections. This model helps you to assess the patient and administer treatment. Each content area for the exam is being divided into further two sections that are information gathering and decision-making. In order to pass this exam one must obtain the passing marks in both the sections of exam that are IG and DM section as both are equally important to each other.
The content of the NCMHCE is divided into three general categories:
- The Diagnosis and Treatment the Evaluation and Assessment sections require you to mark symptoms and determine appropriate tests.
- Planning sections require you to develop a treatment protocol, describe coordination with other service providers, and establish a plan for assessing treatment.
- The Clinical Practice sections require you to evaluate the services provided and understand related ethical and professional issues.
