MTEL Political Science Exam is conducted by Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure to give certification to eligible candidates. Candidate getting this certification becomes eligible to teach Political Science in Massachusetts State.
Candidate can attempt MTEL Political Science Exam in any of the mode on paper or on computer. Score of this assessment is valid for lifetime hence candidate should try to get good marks in the first attempt only. In case the candidate falls short of the marks in the exam then he is liable to appear again in the same exam. However candidate needs to wait for 60 days before reappearing in the same exam. Massachusetts board gives several facilities for registration purpose for the candidates. Candidate can apply for the certification through internet, mail or telephone.

Format for MTEL Political Science/Political Philosophy Exam
MTEL Political Science Exam includes objective and subjective questions. There are 100 multiple choice questions and 2 constructive response queries. Scoring of MTEL Political Science Exam is done on the scale of 300, out of which 240 are the minimum marks required for the certification. The time duration for completing the MTEL Political Science Exam is 4 hours. Candidate should spend at least 20 30 minutes in solving the subjective questions.
