The New Mexico Teacher Assessments (NMTA) certification: This exam program that is designed and administered by evaluation system group of Pearson was developed as a part of new Mexico staff accountability plan.
Applications are invited via online, mail, post or mail. The tests is oriented to measure the applicants in accordance to pre established standards. This is an integrated and comprehensive testing program. Following tests are included in the New Mexico Teacher Assessment.

Before appearing for the NMTA Test the candidate has to satisfy a few eligibility criteria:
He must have a bachelors degreeHe must have completed specified credit points that include 12 semester hours in English, history or science and six semester hours in math, economics, government or fine arts.
Coursework also requires you to fulfill mandatory student teaching requirements that include 24 to 36 semester hours in any one teaching area from among math, social studies, reading and language arts and six hours for those who have entered a college or university.
