High School Exam California High School Proficiency Exam Preparation
The California High School Proficiency Exam or formally known as the CHPSE is an early exit exam for high school students who are in the second sophomore year in high school or those who have enrolled in the 10 grade of two semesters. CHSPE degree is equivalent to a high school diploma.
CHSPE Test Format
The CHSPE exam is divided into three sections:
Mathematic section
The mathematics section covers skills that are traditionally related to the day to day activities rather than the high grade mathematics. This section evaluates basic mathematic skills like, making change, calculating tips, basic probability, algebra, logic and geometry. The content in this section may correspond to the seventh to tenth grade levels.
Language section
This is the longest section of the CHSPE exam and includes 84 questions. This section may evaluate your skills with reading and interpreting recipes, articles, advertisements, short stories and well as reading manuals and instruction guides. This section may also include questions over spelling and grammar errors and other language mechanics.
Writing section
The writing section includes the essay writing questions particularly open ended and generic in nature. This section may ask you write an argument in favor or against at topic. This section evaluates how well a student interprets his expression with the writing skills.
CHSPE preparation
The CHSPE is equivalent to high school diploma and if any institution requires a high school diploma, the individual can be selected on the basis of having CHSPE degree. This test requires you to be very good at your basics. So taking a good CHSPE test guide can improve your chances of earning a CHSPE degree.
