Format Of The American Council Of Exercise Group Fitness Instructor Test:


The ACE Group Fitness Instructor Test is offered in both paper-and-pencil and computer based format. It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions of which 125 are scored while 25 are pre test questions. The following content areas are covered in the examination:
Domain I: Exercise Programming and Class Design (49% of questions)
Domain II: Group Instructional Methods (31% of questions)
Domain III: Group Leadership Methods (14% of questions)
Domain IV: Professional Responsibilities (6% of questions)
The candidate is given 3 hours to complete the examination.
